Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect personal data.

Who we are

FaithStar LLP ("FaithStar", "we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Our registered office is 1 Concourse Way, Sheffield City Centre, “Acero”, Sheffield S1 2BJ. For any privacy matter, contact us at info@faithstar.org.

What data we collect

We collect only what we need:

  • Contact and enquiry details you choose to give us — such as your name, email address and message — when you use our enquiry form or correspond with us.
  • Information you provide when discussing or using our services.
  • Technical and usage information — including IP address and basic device/browser information that your browser sends automatically and that is necessary to serve the website securely.

How we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiries and correspond with you.
  • To provide and manage any services you ask us for.
  • To keep proper business records.
  • To maintain the security and integrity of our website.

Our lawful bases (UK GDPR)

  • Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries and to run our website and organisation effectively, in a way you would reasonably expect and that does not override your rights.
  • Legal obligation — where we are required by law to retain or process certain records.

Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary.

We use trusted service providers who help us operate the site and our organisation. They act on our instructions and are bound to protect your data:

  • Microsoft 365 — email and productivity services
  • Vercel — website hosting
  • DreamHost — domain and related hosting services
  • GitHub — source code hosting for the website

We also share data with regulators, law enforcement or HMRC where we are legally required to do so.

International transfers

Our providers (Microsoft 365, Vercel, DreamHost and GitHub) store data on servers in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. If in future we use a provider that processes data outside the UK or EEA, we will rely on an appropriate safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum, and update this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as necessary:

  • Enquiry and contact data — retained for up to 24 months, unless your enquiry develops into an ongoing relationship, after which it is securely deleted.
  • Records we are legally required to keep — retained for a minimum of 7 years where required by law (for example, statutory financial and business records), after which they are securely deleted.

We then securely delete or anonymise data we no longer need.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have data erased or its processing restricted; to object to processing based on legitimate interests; and to data portability, where these rights apply. To exercise any right, email info@faithstar.org. We will respond within one month.

Cookies

See our Cookie Policy for how this site uses cookies.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time.
